In July 2021 an enchanting Shell House was found in a Birmingham city centre garden and I was invited to document the find with photos.
While clearing a very overgrown area of their garden in Edgbaston a resident made the discovery of…, they were not sure, but seeing the intricate details containing shells they contacted the National Trust who sent senior gardens adviser Pam Smith accompanied by garden historian Advolly Richmond who were amazed by the discovery of a near intact folly, thought to date from the 18th Century.
