December 29th 2025, I visited the incredible Cheddar Gorge in Somerset with a few photographer friends.

We arrived early before sunrise and started by taking a walk along the Cliff Road from about half way up the Gorge towards the Lippiatt tourist centre where we had a great breakfast in the Lion Rock Tea Rooms and took a look around the area.

We then took a hike up the north trail to the North Cliffs and spent a few hours capturing the amazing views across the Gorge and the town of Cheddar.

We then took a trek along the West Medip Way and back to the top of Cliff Road near Black Rock for an evening walk back down the Gorge to the cars.

After a break waiting for it to get dark we went to a great spot above the road for a bit of long exposure photography.
