The Great Charles Street development is fast approaching external completion with the final floors on the main tower having the facade installed. I have made an update to the construction journal with recent photos.
In September 2003, shortly after the Bullring was fully opened, I took some digital photos on a Canon early compact camera. A lot has changed since then, particularly installation of the railings around the Nelson Statue where I liked to chill out with a coffee. I’ve created a couple of galleries, exteriors and interiors.
During 2010, 2011 and 2012 I took photos of the construction of the Library of Birmingham, mostly with an iPhone but some with my first digital DSLR camera. On August 19th 2025, Paradise Birmingham invited photographers to visit the Three Chamberlain Square roof terrace to take photos of the city from this great new vantage point giving brand new views across the city.
