30th August 2026, I briefly visited High Rocks National Monument near Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, run by the adjacent High Rocks wedding venue.

In 1989 I created a set of black and white 35mm film prints for a photography project during my BTEC National Diploma studies at West Kent College.

I hadn’t been back since then and took the opportunity whilst visiting the area, I didn’t have much time to spend there and only went around part of this extensive natural wonder.

I parked in the free car park and went over to the beautiful High Rocks wedding venue and pub to get an entry ticket, only £10!

I then went up to the monument and took the steps up to the top.

The walk over the top of the rocks is magical, with little wooden bridges across deep gaps, wonderful woodland paths and incredible views.

I went down some steps through a gully to the path along the base of the cliffs.

I then walked back to the start along the lower path getting some photos of the astounding cliffs from below.

I so recommend a visit to this wonderfully enchanting place!
