A short walk from the main carpark off Watling Street, the station has a super little railway shop and a cafe. There is also a fantastic and fascinating free rail museum there.

I was particularly interested in the array of derelict trains and carriages along the platform and there are a lot of older but great condition ones in the sidings.

From Chasewater Heaths station I walked into the park and along part of the lakeside.

Along the way I spotted some deer (females) and was able to get some great photos.

I was even graced with the opportunity to get the below photo of the steam train with them!

The parkland was beautiful with open grass areas as well as small woodlands.

Along the way I was also able to get some insect photos amongst the flowers.

I walked back along the rail track path to Brownhills West Station and then got some more photos including some of the train filling up with water.

It was a great day but there is so much more to see so I will be returning for more exploration soon!
