22nd May 2026, I visited the North Somerset seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, one of the best beach towns in England!

It was a sunny and warm day with a little haze and being a Friday it was not too busy like it would be on a weekend or bank holiday.

After parking at the south beach I walked along the sand towards the Grand Pier.

I went on to the pier and walked down to the end, I got some great views of the houses and buildings of the town and also of the beach.

I then went for a look around the town which was beautiful and full of typical beach town fish and chip shops, amusement arcades, ice cream shops and beach stuff shops, as well as the usual town centre shops.

There are also several great public squares!

After having fish and chips for lunch I walked back along the main promenade to the car, grabbing a wonderful pistachio ice cream along the way.

I highly recommend Weston-super-Mare for a day at the beach!
